Photography allows us to blur the boundary between reality and fantasy in a way that is unique among visual media, presenting us with the magic possibility to see the unseen. It lets us freeze a moment that would otherwise pass unnoticed, and to examine it closely, to think about it and imagine endless other moments that happened just before and those that are about to happen in the next fraction of a second. In my work, I try to communicate something that lies under the surface of the visible, highlighting the psychological tension between two close people, or a single person facing an internal conflict. There is a whole world that stands behind an image. My goal as an artist is to allow the viewer and myself to discover this world and the hidden truth about us as human beings that is contained in every single moment of our life.
